Your same templates, created with Desktop, will run in any Internet browser, like IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, and on most PDAs—for example, the Apple iPad.
XpressDox is powerful enough to handle any document automation requirement in any industry, but it is the flexibility of low cost deployment that truly sets XpressDox Cloud apart. Your same templates, created with Desktop, will run in any Internet browser, like IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, and on most PDAs—for example, the Apple iPad. That’s productivity.
The lowest cost template deployment
For large organizations, where cost of software deployment is an issue, it makes sense to deploy templates via the web. This means that new templates are instantly available to all users regardless of location (branch office, home, or on the road), version enhancements are available to all users instantly, and no proprietary software is needed to run templates.
Browser users do not need Microsoft® Office Word to be installed on their desktop computers, since completed documents can be delivered in PDF or Word XML format, which are recognized formats for most readers or word processing systems.
XpressDox Cloud also executes your routing instructions, so that completed documents will be automatically emailed to internal or external recipients specified in each template. It doesn’t stop there. Customers and clients can enter information themselves. This is ideally suited for the capture of:
- contract information;
- quotation requests;
- finance applications;
- new client take–on forms;
- legal forms;
- new staff take–on forms;
- and, leave applications.
What does an ‘assembly’ mean?
There are two hosting options: on premise, or software as a service (SaaS) hosted on the secure XpressDox Cloud.
With the SaaS option, each plan is charged per month in arrears, and includes a certain amount of template assemblies. When a template is run we refer to it being assembled. There are no set up costs, and you may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time.
Each hosting option requires you to purchase at least one Desktop license in order to author templates.
